Shanna Wedekemper got her start in the industry in 2007 in Illinois. Her career ignited a passion for transformations - specifically in extensions. After a few years, she moved her business to the prestigious Salon and Spa at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, MO. Now Anagen offers services in a beautiful salon retreat designed to represent the comfort of a living room with the upscale nature of your favorite luxury hotel.

From London Fashion week with Jon Reyman, to intimate color classes with Michelle Zeller, Dominick Serna, Johnny Ramirez, Natalie Mcnell and Marissa Larson, Shanna is continually growing her knowledge and experience base. Her mentors for the last 6 years are mavens in the extension and business world—Including Danielle K White and Garret J White.

Creating beautiful transformative looks is my speciality from iconic blondes to dimensional lived in colors combined with hand tied extensions.
As a self-professed Blondaholic, I fully understand the power a fresh highlight holds. Transforming your hair to make you feel absolutely glowing is what lights me up. Along with this, I will always ensure your hair stays healthy and strong (chemical bangs are a no for us). I will show you everything you need to maintain your brightest, healthiest, blonde self.

I am dedicated to helping my guests achieve their desired look and feel confident. For the past six years I have honed my skills in hairstyling for bridal, special events and advertising. Over the last year and a half I have worked alongside Shanna Wedekemper, owner of Anagen Atelier, assisting and refining my skills.
Beyond my expertise in hair styling, I am a proud mother of two children and a bonus daughter. I am originally from Columbia, Missouri and have a deep appreciation for community and the lasting connections formed there. I cherish moments spent creating a memories with loved ones. I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion every day and to make a positive impact on the lives of those I work with. I look forward to making meaningful connections and creating unforgettable hair experiences that bring out confidence and resilience.

I specialize in women’s classic cuts and lived-in dimensional colors. I strive to create a luxurious and modern style while focusing and listening to my clients’ needs and desires. I approach all of my guests with confidence and develop a trust with timeless results.
Personally, I enjoy spending my time away from the salon with my large family who supports me and all that I do.
